For the love of cows.

I can’t even begin to explain to you my love of cows. I know they’re big and moo and yes, I do eat meat….but they’re SO FREAKIN CUTE!!! I went and visited these little cuties back in March at a friend’s farm. That day I got a grand ol’ tour of the farm. I learned that there are milking cows and meat cows…I also learned about veal (YEA, NO THANK YOU!! That’s one meat I will NOT eat!) That was my first visit to the farm…the cow craze has only gotten worse since then!!

MAINE!!!!!

Hi everyone!! I’ve started this blog to share with you all the fun and exciting knowledge I’m learning from living in Maine. And, I hope along the way I can share my life experiences here in the great state of Maine. For starters, I want to let you know I’m what I like to call a “Mainer born and raised in New Hampshire”. I live fairly close to Maine, but Kittery shopping was the extent of the Maine experience for most of my life. When I got into high school and started to venture out on my own a little I discovered that Maine is really where I belong. I love the coast, the farms, the mountains, the snow…COWS!…and so much more! So, when I was deciding where I wanted to go to college, naturally I was drawn to Maine. And here I am, in the little town of Farmington, ME…and I am learning LOTS...about cows, horses, Maine, and of course lots in the college classroom… Also, my good friend Max is going to post some fun Maine stuff he learns....SO, let the Maine shenanigans begin!!!! -allie
